Interaction Designer - HIRING

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Award winning creative design and production firm seeks an IxD with an emphasis in User Interface Design and a strong background in technology including Content Management Systems. Applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a creative connection with clients and the internal team while meeting and exceeding expectations by delivering excellent projects on time and budget. Must develop, write, and produce strategy for pitches and projects of all types and sizes. Must strategize ways to evolve the business by working with the company to develop and pitch additional work.

In addition to high-level conceptual skills, the applicant must possess the necessary project production skills and be ready to roll up their sleeves to project ideation and specification skills for pitches, business development, and project execution. Applicants should be both creatively and technically skilled with an emphasis on creating business solutions. You will be required to interact with clients on a regular basis, and help sell our creative solutions and proposals.

When working on business development, Interaction Designers are key to developing conceptual ideas to propose often translating those ideas into initial site maps and wireframes. When working on a specific project, Interaction Designers create innovative user experiences by organizing content and developing intuitive interfaces. Interaction Designers work with both the client and project teams to understand project goals as well as audience and content objectives. From there, conceptual and interface strategies are developed and translated into Prototypes and Functional Specifications. If the project involves a content management system, additional design work and documentation is required for the system and user training.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have 3+ years Information Architecture or Interaction Design experience on a variety of projects with the bulk of experience involving web sites. Experience with content management systems and interactive television is required. You should hold a degree in a related field such as design, architecture, cognitive sciences or technical communications and have excellent oral, written and visual communication skills. Familiarity with Visio and Dreamweaver is a must — as is attention to detail.
